AFC Wimbledon are going up!

Have to say i think your really misinformed/misguided.
What is so special about AFCW?
You think MK Dons are the same size as them Rochdale and Accrington.....

1) Doubt it.
2) What exactly do you think might just differentiate them from near-enough every other club in the uk?
3) I'm actually hoping they shrink to the same size as my saturday side, tbh.

Kingstonian were in trouble yes. In trouble thanks to a property developer who bought their ground cheap and sold it on for a great profit to AFCW...
And yeah AFCW "Generously" did let Kingstonian play there....But to do anything else would really have been way past hypocrisy wouldnt it.....
I don't hate AFCW just wished they would build their own ground in their own borough...Which they could and should have done by now.

So a property developer was trying to asset-strip Kingstonian and AFC Wimbledon saved the ground from being bulldozed for poncy flats - the scumbags!

And did AFCW collude with the developer for this to happen? Did he buy the ground anticipating the demise of Wimbledon FC and the creation of AFCW?

No. So moot point.

And if you had but the slightest clue of what you were talking about you would know that was exactly what Wimbledon FC was trying to do up until the moment it was sold to the city of Milton Keynes. There was a strong campaign to buy back Plough Lane. However there was a local residents association who fought against any plans to allow WFC to buy back the ground, it and eventually won. Guess who formed and supported that association: Charles Koppel, the Wimbledon FC chairman.

Koppel and the Norwegian owners of WFC had intended all along to sell the club to some Milton Keynes cunt who thought his city was so great it couldn't wait any longer to have a Premiership club and had the idea of approaching WFC and convincing the owners to move the club there.

The very people who owned the club worked tirelessly for years to stop it from acquiring a ground in its own borough for the sake of profit.

So do spare us the bullshit, because you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about.

Yes Wimbledon did talk about moving back to Wimbledon and they also talked about moving to Cardiff and Dublin.
If some clubs can move like Arsenal,Clyde,Livingston,Bolton,Enfield etc what makes Wimbledon such a special case......

Also heard Horsham are moving....Can we all hate them now instead of MK dons or are you all waiting for david conn to tell you what the fashionable cause is this week?

They have a ground sharing agreement with Worthing for, initially, one season while Horsham Council consider their planning application for the new stadium in Horsham on ground the club has already purchased.

I thought Horsham are going to be sharing with Crawley next season..??

Many thanks for giving us Lewis Taylor back. We were mad to let him go to Horsham in the first place.

Well, let me think... It could be because the move was avoidable, prompted by naked greed, based on lies, and most importantly of all, a whole 70 miles away in a different county.

The deal was agreed with the landlord's (Crawley Borough Council) and, we believed, the Brothers Grim at CFC, although you wouldn't want to do business with them if you had a choice. The Brothers decided to demand another £50,000 a season when they thought we had no choice, HFC declined, and two days later they concluded the sale of CFC - turns out we were only ever something they wanted to add to the balance sheet before they sold up.

Many thanks for giving us Lewis Taylor back. We were mad to let him go to Horsham in the first place.
I thought we got him from Whyteleafe, though I know he was with you before?

In his mind he left us after the cup run but, before that, he was exceptional. His mother and probably Lewis believe he's too good for Con South. Very good if he's settled.

Now let me think Wimbledon moved out of Wimbledon in 1991. Prompted by naked greed their fans were happy to support what was effectivelly a franchise at Selhurst Park.....The club then planned moves to Dublin,Cardiff,Milton Keynes etc....Some of those fans who had been happy to support the franchise at Selhurst, thought ooh thats a bit too far....lets start up another club and you know what i know what we could do...We could do a deal with a greedy speculator to buy somebody elses ground.....
based on lies, a few people seem to think the sun shines out of afcws arse....
But interestingly enough very few people seem to activelly support them and MK Dons have gone from strength to strength.

You do know a lot of other non league clubs that had temporary ground sharing agreements have ended up in exile for many years or gone out of business altogether...
Think Slough think Walthamstow ave,Enfield,Ilford,Romford etc etc.....

You don't know what the word franchise means do you?

The club then planned moves to Dublin,Cardiff,Milton Keynes etc....
Correction: the greedy bastard proprietors of the club planned moves to Dublin, Cardiff, Milton Keynes etc... no fan supported such moves.

Some of those fans who had been happy to support the franchise at Selhurst
As I said earlier, you really do need to look up franchise in a dictionary

thought ooh thats a bit too far....lets start up another club and you know what i know what we could do...We could do a deal with a greedy speculator to buy somebody elses ground.....
A load of bollocks as it has been put out to you numerous times, several on this very thread.

Saying it many times is not going to make it true. And you're not fooling anyone.

Oh dear you really are scrapping the bottom of the barrel here aren't ya... :D

"Few people seem to actively support them"... er yes. We weren't expecting Chelsea and Man U fans to break with their clubs and start supporting another club.

You really don't have any clue whatsoever about what football is about do you? :D

And should I remind you where Franchise FC played its first season? Should I remind you what very reason for the creation of Franchise FC was?

How does it feel to be part of a club that is hated and despised by virtually every football fan in the country?

Perhaps instead of sulking at this fact you should try to understand why Franchise FC is universally despised.

Firstly there was a lot of opposition against the relocation to Selhurst. The only naked greed was from Sam "the sham" Hamman. During the 1990's it appeared that the club owners did the bare minimum to return the club to Merton or the surrounding area. Sites that were developed during the 1990's which the club owners should have looked at included the retail park at Colliers Wood or the old mental hospital be Tooting Bec. Merton council did not exactly move heaven & earth to the club back to Merton. But were perfectly willing to allow the All England Tennis club to redevelop their site building three new stadiums during the 1990's (Centre court & courts No. 1 + 2). Any objections to the council were swept under the carpet. With the All England public stating that if there were objections they would move the competition to Basingstoke. As if Wimbledon would have the same prestige & cachet if it was played in basingstoke each year. Regarding the active support of the two clubs, us & franchise, well we have the highest number of season ticket holders in non-league football & many clubs in Division four. Since formation in 2002 the club has won three promotions. The equivalent of Rochdale reaching the Premiership within five seasons, not bad, com[pared with franchises two relegations within the same time. Going from a club who were on the cusp of promotion back to the premiership to division 4 in three seasons.

BTW baldwin you can STFU about the Enfield situation. Dreary trolling numpty. Who are you, Lazarou?

Hi Ron...Dreadful season for the towners as well....Sadly as the first fans club...You know a lot of Town fans are not exactly fond of afcw these days....What happened to the supporters direct cup?
I bet im one of the few on here who knows who lazarou is...mind you towns problems these days seems to be more about the shocking disciplinary record.

Not fond of AFCW? Why on earth would that be? You seem to have your ear to the ground chez nous. You must be down Brimsdown or the Old Wheatsheaf quite a bit, then. Which one are you again? I bet you're that twonk on the PA system... or Costas... who you suing this week?

I reckon that Milton Keynes are on their way to the premiership in 5-10 years at most....

You see, this sums it up...I couldn't give a flying if you win the Premiership, the Champion's League, Badminton Horse Trials, the Turner Prize or anything else, it won't change the fact that your team are parasitic sc*m who stole the league place of another club because they couldn't be bothered to do things the decent way and actually EARN it.

Your club was founded on a massive sporting injustice that should never have been allowed to happen. All the success in the world won't change that.

Thats very true...Enfield council and the FA should have never allowed lazarou to get away with it.
