Advice re buying a house

Plumdaff if you want the house just keep going. There are always a few bumps and crises when buying (not helped by the fact you are supposed to communicate through solicitors and estate agents and one lot have no sense of urgency and don't speak comprehensible English while the second lot lie compulsively and and don't speak comprehensible English).

If it falls through, it falls through. But you shouldn't borrow trouble- it may all be fine

Do I risk proceeding with the purchase and losing fees if valuation falls short or can I make up shortfall if valuation falls short? Do I pull out straight away to avoid loss of fees, always an issue.
Speaking to some estate agents yesterday, they seemed to think the market is a little flat at the moment and prices have stabilised, certainly for property prices below £650,000.
To some extent it depends of price of property you are buying and the area it's in. Is it in a buoyant area and prices likely to show a bit of an increase or not?
You pays your money. What ever happens, I was reminded what a money pit for some buying and selling a property can be :(

Jumping in to an existing thread and stating the bleedin obvious, or so I thought....i had a mate move into his new place 10 days ago which is not in the sticks. Have just been chatting with him and found out that he doesn't even know if he has a shop within 5 miles from where he lives. I know some supermarkets will not deliver to him.
so, if looking to move, you might want to check how far it is to the nearest shops and what they are like
