Advertising Campaign for ID cards starts

Yeah yeah. Tell us, don't you imagine you're being controlled, herded even, by falling into the choreographed role of “activist”? These so called issues are just distractions, dilemmas in bourgeois justice which discredit and marginalise the very idea of thinking politically and addressing the actual matter confronting the working class, namely the positive organisation of production. Instead we twitter endlessly like some Guardian readers' wet dream. Defend this, defend that, defy this, defy that. Please.

Who are you to proclaim what matters of importance are affecting our class?

could you please shut the fuck up and fuck off you're spouting shite that even i wouldn't come out with... you fucking moronic cretinous shit...

who were you before son?:confused::rolleyes:

he just turns up everywhere and argues the opposite, reminds me of Alan Robson the north east talk show host, even when people came on slagging the poll tax he would find an opposite view.

No life, i guess

Oh Jesus. You’re not another one who conflates socialism and Christian humility are you victim boy?
could you please shut the fuck up and fuck off
I think you might just have to type that little bit harder.

Ahh "cuntishness" the true enemy of whatever boy scout ideological peccadilloes you’ve adopted as a masquerade for politics.

So boring you’re compelled to respond. Boredom, shame and depression are neurologically indistinguishable. Would you say you are a depressed person moon23?

Yes. I'm Frankie from the Saturdays and formerly S Club Junior. Me and the girls have got a load of 'drone in to help us work on some new material at the mo. On my cig breaks, I like to post on Urban as way of developing my politics.

Does anyone really think that organisations will start accepting one single piece of ID instead of the two (or more) they currently require? Like opening a bank account? These people like you to require more than one separate item they can cross reference. I can't see them suddenly changing their mentality to accept one single, easily (or easier) acquired, card.

Does the government really think that ID cards will be harder to fraud, or that doing so is somehow more illegal than forging a birth certificate or driving license - both of which are items that are harder to acuire legally anyway. Anyone will be able to get an ID card, but I can't get a Driving License without learning to drive and passing the test (provisional licenses are no good). How can an ID Card compete with that.

Fucking load of old pony IMO.

anyone who does think it's ok should go to the street markets in morocco

I think they will spend a lot of money trying to convince businessess of thier merits then start officially recognising ID card verification as evidence a company has checked ID. For instance only by checking thier ID card will you be 'certain' someone is not under age and that you are a responsible retailer/bank etc. They will force people to use it and to create 'buy in' by making life more difficult without one.

On one hand they will make it impossible to do anything without, but on the other hand big business (eg banks, who are already ridiculously strict and meticulous about ID for opening accounts) will, in addition to new laws, also require further ID. This is what I see happening. You will then need not only your ID card but something else such as a DL. Therefore the whole thing is massively stupid. But then this massively stupid government seems hell bent on reaching some kind of critical mass wherein it will spectacularly implode. Either that or David Icke has been right all along and lizards really are in charge.

You clearly missed the point. :D

the info sharing implications aside

the id card will be harder to forge for the simple reason you will have:

data on front of card
data on chip
data on database

unless all 3 match... id invalid

data on card front.... easy to forge
data on chip...... easy but not so easy
data on database..... v hard

Actually much the same protection (minus the chip of course, but thats pretty irrelevant anyway) applies to the driving licence as well, which is easily (as in seconds) checkable by any police officer who has contact with their control room.

I said that the DL is harder to get than the ID card in conventional terms. I should think there's no difference in how hard one is to get over the other in the black market.

Most frauds wont need to change the DB as most of the time just flashing or showing the card is all that will happen. Other fake cards will point to a real identity on the database that is not the fraudsters. Checking the biometrics of someone against the register will throw back tons of false matches and errors checking against the chip is relativly easy to fake. Given the value being placed that these 'cant be faked or lie' the rewards for faking them will be very high in terms of the trust and access it will bring.

Exactly - it will become one of the most valuable goods ever to be produced by the black market
