Kew Lighting is open. There is in fact a little shop between it and the tyre place.

i kind of know what happened, as my best friend at work lives above the tyre place: a van or something in the front yard caught fire, which then spread to the tyre place - this then spread to the flats above.

my friend was very lucky - they were woken by the peopleabove them knocking on their door at 2:30am - their neighbours had just got back from a night out and noticed the van on fire (very small at this stage) and went and woke them all up - they got to a courtyard on the back but then got trapped - and then needed rescuing by the fireservice.

she got out with her phone and in her pyjamas, but that is all that is left: she hasn't been able to go back in yet to see if there is anything left.

I went past there the other day and it all looked well broken.
