I thought you said long beard for a minuter there.

We'll never manage that wiskers. :(

no i think we're bound to fail on that one mate, dont waste your energy trying, it will only lead to disapointment ;)

:) Hi wiskey,,

I agree with madamv as i have met you too:cool: (sorry i wasnt very sociable - i was getting hassle:( )

I'm quite tall and find it difficult to get trousers and tops to fit properly - long limbs and wide shoulders:mad:

I got a wicked pair of slouchy black casual/smart trousers from sainsburys in Long length. for a tenner!

best of luck with the course - tho i'm sure you'll be fine:cool:

so i just went and tried it all on, and it ALL fits. which is a bonus.

the orange jumper works lovely with my only pre-owned bit of smart stuff (a linen top from 'the wedding') and the blue trousers (which are so long i can nearly stand on them which is great :))

one of the white tops is a touch too thin to wear on its own so i might have to get a different jumper thing. the other top looks great even if i do say so myself.

i do look a bit like a librarian :o

i can see the point of beads now. it breaks up that vast space between your neck and your belt.

I'd have said no, fleeces are good enough for walking the dog or mucking out horses

In my hubby's opinion a fleece is smart wear :p I thought you'd seen a photo of him. Does he look like a suit man? ;)

Wiskey, you're not old hun. The idea of you being trendy is a bit strange though ;)
Never mind, next year you can wear the same stuff and not be trendy :D
I'm only ever trendy by accident.

PS We NEED photos(even by email or pm)

i was very impressed with next which whilst looking like it only caters for waifs actually does decent sizes and thinks i'm a size 18

 Just reread this a couple of times and noticed the above!!
What is the world coming to?? (writes the woman who is deliberately attending a funeral by bike so she doesn't have to think about clothes :o )

And you can fiddle with them when you want a spliff/fag/pint/3 hail marys.

I had this dress code in my office...

Went to Primark and picked up 5 x plain polo shirts which were £2.50 each
Wore them with a pair of Quicksilver trousers

Boring but cheap and easy
Yeah I was just going to say cargos and a polo shirt. Boring but easy. Works for girls too (you can swap a plain/inoffensive "girlie-t" for the polo if you like).

  You got it girl!!!! Go gettem......:D

Yeah those courses cost a fortune. Iirc, you dont need to be qualified as such, so quit worrying, you will be fine and it will be great for you to meet other people who will have to organise things when something nasty goes down. I am on Kenyons books, who do the clean ups. Although I have never been on a deployment yet cause of my little girl. Give it a couple of years though and I hope to be sent to some exotic location, after a nasty plane crash or something.

Have fun, swing those beads and gis a twirl ;)
