Aaargh! Mice!

I just read that other thread about your mouse probs: have you had to rip up the carpet to get rid of them? :o

We had to rip up the carpet around the edges so we could block the holes in the floorboards and around the radiator pipes. As said elsewhere on this thread, don't underestimate the size of gap that a mouse needs to get through :( Everywhere's stuffed with wire wool now.

I thought I had a laminate floor in the kitchen when we moved in, but there were still gappy floorboards under the kitchen units. They have now been sealed with No More Gaps and there are loads of traps and trays of poison, so if they ever return, hopefully they'll get poisoned before they find their way into other areas of the flat again.

They will feast on crumbs and keep returning, so it's a good idea to keep the floor (and everywhere else) clean. Which reminds me... I must get off Urban and get the vacuum out :D

Bummer! :p

I've got a slug 'issue' as well, which is bloody ridiculous but it's also quite spooky that whenever I come on suburban there is a thread relating to my exact problem: hopefully it's not the other way round :D

hmm. Trap bought, set, one mouse caught. Thought I actually had rid, but I left a bloody capsicum out on the sideboard and they're back and partying. Bastards.

I don't know what other mouse thread I'd been whinging on.

We thought we'd got rid in april and then mouse shit appeared again. That sonic mouse plug in thing didn't work, neither did humane traps.

We put down some poison traps and then had three sightings in a 24 hour period (with no poo). Yay eurovision party. :(

We've now not seen them in 48 hours or seen any poo and have the holes are blocked with wire wool. The problem is that it's the groundfloor of a 1930's mansion block and under all the flats the mice can party together. We've got a massive hole under the kitchen sink which leads to under the bath. That's basically where they come in. The landlord is getting some expanding foam which can be removed at a later date if plumbing work needs doing.

I just want to nuke the place and the rescue remedy lives near the kitchen door.
