A weekend away in England

I went to Southwold for the first time this Easter weekend. Plenty of places to camp near to the beach/town and there is an Amber Museum.

Lyme Regis. Love it love it love it. Can't begin to list everything there is to do within a few miles as well as Lyme itself and you don't need a car, the buses are pretty good and it's easy to get to by train + short cab journey.

Having just got back from a few days there, I can recommend the Forest of Dean. It's a beautiful area, and there's a surprising amount to do as well.

We went to Brighton in the end. It was lovely. The hotel overlooked the broken pier, we had sea views from the bedroom window. The boy arranged champagnes to be there for our arrival. We had a wonder around and he bought me pretties and then we had some food, blagged our way into a lock in, had a kebab on the way home and smoked cigarettes in the rain.

Woke up the next day with a massive throbbing headache!! Had lunch at a cafe by the beach, then and went and watch some bands and things for free at the fringe festival, hasd some more food and then went to see the Ladyboys show... Amazing! Then we got train back home to london and drank lots of stella... yum....

Canterbury. Love it. The Cathedral, the vibe, Simple Simon's 15th century ale house, the river, the music. 1hr40 mins from Victoria.

Or Brighton, where I briefly resided. 50 mins from Victoria.
