A walk through Mayfair

Funny thing was, the idea of my walk - Mayfair to Spitalfields - was for it to be a west-east walk through wealth, from the sumptuous opulence of Mayfair, through the commercial heartland of the West End to the crushing poverty of the East End.

Except Spitalfields is nearly as posh as Mayfair these days, and I was only able to find a few down at heel buildings on the walk - and they look set to be redeveloped!

Things have certainly changed in London over the past 20 years.
