Something came up recently (I'm not going to say what) that made it clear that the police keep a close eye on this forum.

That's not necessarily a bad thing - some could argue that it's good that they are open to monitoring community issues raised in different media - but it's worth bearing in mind when posting here.

its true they do, i can vouch for that as i was once contacted over a shooting incident here on our road! it seemed crazy at the time and i was put on the spot as really i had no information. plus they contacted me a few times if i still wasn't willing to speak in court..

oh yeah, I had a similar thing happened. Cop PM-ed me out of the blue after an incident that was posted about on these here boards. Got me very paranoid
