I voted yes, but now I think about it she's more of a Snork Maiden really, and I'm not sure if they're technically moomins or not.

Little My is one of the best characters. I loved the books, but hated the kitschy Japanese cartoon series. Unlike the art work for the series, Tove Janssons illlustrations were gorgeous and the series never caught the eccentricities and melancholy of the novels.

loved this version

but don't really remember it - hated the cartoon

which book had on of the moomins falling into a hat & either getting magically trapped or invisible and one of the characters who was doomy/existential getting upset about his precious book that had been lost then magically restored but no longer being negative but positive about life in it's title

The book was Finn Family Moomintroll, the second one in the series, but the first to be released in the UK. The original Finnish version was called The Magician's Hat.

The Russian TV series was quite nice, but I barely remember it.
