Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of these type of contact details - particularly any one regarding people smoking/dealing crack in doorways, phone boxes etc?
Trust me it's noted, talk to your GLA rep, Val Shawcross. There are BT/NWP (Spectrum Interactive) issues (by law they have to keep a certain number of boxes). You can move the box and hence the problem, you can't just get rid of the box without contributing significantly to BT or NWP's shareholders funds (think BMW M5 prices per box). Your council gave them planning permission to stick boxes there (pre crack obviously - hindsight is a beautiful thing). Move the box - £4000 instead of removing it (challenge - find a spot that isn't served by boxes already and would still be profitable and contact the Lambeth Community Safety Partnership). Telecoms regs. though mean a certain amount of boxes have to remain outside of the station hence you won't totally get rid of the dealers. Removing the box, would mean legal costs going through the roof at the taxpayers expense. Find a spot as above! Planning permission won't get revoked - too many acts going against you. You could try and get them under the RIPA Act 2000 (phone records as proof) but lets be honest with jail sentances being a joke, they'd probably be out by Christmas (i.e. it would be like someone trying to ASBO them out of the High Street).
Paving slabs will get fixed in the next 18 months - permenantly. They repaved parts of the High St. at the end of 2005/beginning of 2006. It's a rolling programme and will be picked up due to the no win, no fee lawyers hanging out around the station. The rolling programme should handle it in the meantime.
