Quad core, so tempting but so pointless.

I kinda just threw that in as a some bait I'm just going to upgrade the desktop at some point next year, probably in the latter part if money's tight to the best that my budget allows...still, if it allows a Warp Factor Quad Core processor, then I won't say no...

You'd probably be better off with a faster dual core:

Q6600 2.4Ghz 4 core CPU £170
E6850 3.0Ghz 2 core CPU £170

Unless you're sure you'd use the 3rd and 4th cores then the faster dual core would be a better choice.
