A Band In A Nutshell

Teenage Kicks.

Offhand I'm not sure if I even know any other songs by them, but I'd still say that I liked them just because of that song.

It's not even the best song of the EP. The Undertones were potentially a much better sarcastic punk band hat that song suggests.

I'm not too fond of Bellbottoms either. People always go on about that one. There's loads on Now I Got Worry that are much better.

Elton JOhn-Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Not really, that's just my favourite EJ song.

I don't really understand the question.

I just don't think it sums up the Blues Explosion in one five minute nutshell either.
Sorry jefe. Good idea for a thread but not a great lead example and most people seem to think it's "what's the best song by ???" thread.

Mclusky - Lightsabre Cocksucking Blues?

Nail on head with that one. I think it just distils what they're all bout in a two minute blast or however short it took.
I'd probably list Alan Is a Cowboy Killer as my favourite mclusky track but LCB has them in a nutshell.

'sliver' by nirvana

catchy pop song/agonised vocals/walloping drums/abrasive guitars (well by most people's standards :D )/doesn't sound out of place in a stadium/dead simple...

and so on.

ironically Teen Spirit and the whole of nevermind is not really a representation of what they were.
