And another 4 years before ABE's can start patronising some poor nation somewhere and then talk up Argentina again who get knocked out of the World CUp before England.QUOTE]

Classic :D

24 hours/fixture arrangements = England are better than Argentina.

I said Argentina got knocked out before England which they did. They did the last time too. I never said they were better

Facts are facts.:D

They're technically better than us and probably always will be but that 'technique' hasn't beaten us in a big gamesince 1986 only luck 8 years ago.

I think we should nuke Scotland and Wales. It'd get rid of a lot of ABEs, and would mean us Ingerland Empire Worshippers have to pay far less taxes after we removed said drains on our economy. Nice nukes though, that leave nice countryside, animals and a few carefully placed b&bs ;)

Be happy Chris. You've just removed one massive drain on the economy by getting rid of Sven. I bet McLaren won't be paid £5 million pa to get knocked out in the quarter finals every 2 years ;)

bertifrew has it occured to you that the reason why the band strike up rule britannia so much is that it's one song they think 30,000 Egland fans will know the words to in order to create an atmosphere (I think they ruint it myself but thats another story).

Maybe not a desire to return to the past.

Empire worshipping?

Surely no one does that any more. Maybe 40 years ago. But in 2006, Empire? It was a British Empire anyway, not English. Many avid Empire builders were Scots.

But thanks for your pithy and balanced assessment of my nation.
Good point. Portugal had an empire too, so anyone supporting them yesterday would also be an empire worshipper!

Penalties do count in matches you know. You LOST yesterday against Portugal and it was your technique that let you down. Lampard's - the second best player in the world apparently - penalty was so bad it was comical. :D

Its just the normal double standard you expect from these people.

If an English Fan mentions Nazi Germany, they are xenophobic thugs.

If a Welsh Fan mentions the British Empire, oh thats ok.

If the English mention the near eradiction of an indigenous race in the South Americas, we are just being mean racists.

If the Scottish mention the near starvation of an entire indian continent, oh thats ok.

How come other countries atrocities can lie in the past and be brushed away and not to be brought up because if you do, you just being a racist, but the English have to continually face the uproar of these people who seem to think its ok to bring up our past atrocities?

The funny part is the fact that they don't see the hypocrasy of having a go at English fans for being xenophobic and racist, while being xenophobic and racist in exactly the same manner.

They could have struck up something by the Beatles or Oasis. Did you see those hilarious feckers in their crusaders costumes and in tin hats? Boorish, xenophobic twerps.

I forgot about that, celebrating the slaughter of millions by religous maniacs.

Some of the views on here are verging on the left-wing characture, like something out of Viz (Millie Tant to be exact). Singing British national songs is not political, its supporting your football team. Its like saying they should never play Gary Glitter songs cos if they do they're actively supporting paedophilier - ahhhh, on second thoughts, forget that one ;)

Speaking of Viz, did anyone see the flag they gave away this issue, on one side it had the St Georges Cross, and said "I'm not a racist, I'd just like England to win" on it, and the other side it had a Scottish flag and said "I'm supporting whoevers playing England" :D

They were dressed up as St George because he is Englands patron saint. Only a fucking moron reads more into it.

Yep. And France, Italy and Germany. They don't get the same flack of course because they're cultured continental types though. Not like us pasty white, beer bellied, tub thumping, racist, Sun reading, English.

I'm not being biggoted like. I mean you know, some of my English friends are alright. It's just all the others. It's not racist to say that though because like English aren't a race. Er I mean, even though they're all pasty white beer bellied types.

Maybe Scotchland or welshland or Ireland will get in next time. It must be hard for you all, sitting there watching better teams than yours (like Ghana,Ukraine,Austrailia,CostaRica,Togo,Tunisia,SaudiaArabia,Trinidad and Tobago,Serbia&M,Iran and the Ivory Coast) get to play in the world cup whilst you all have to sit back at home sulking, like the child who knowbody wants to play with.

(((ABEs)))

Maybe next time,eh?

They also sing "H.A.P.P.Y" - the theme to Only When i Laugh.

Are they doing this as a biting satire on the state of the National Health Service under New Labour?
