Did you think Beckham's tears and indeed the ostentatious parading of his injury on the sidelines, instead of going off down the tunnel to get some treatment, was entirely for the benefit of the cameras? It's like when an England player scores - watch Beckham, he's the first there to congratulate a player and strike a back page pose for the cameras. Maybe he is just being a good captain but I can't help thinking everything he does is calculated to get his face in the paper and raise his profile. That said, I haven't got anything against him.

there are decent england fans, but they are drowned out by the fat bellied, shaven headed beer pigs, that give your country a bad name. it's for all of them-and that fat bearded ex sun journo that polutes the radio waves almost every day-that i am glad that england are out of the WC. i can enjoy the rest of the games now.

it's got nothing to do with resources, more like yous never have to play anyone until the 1/4 finals, and when you do you get beat. Just look at the euro qualifiers. Italy and France in the same group and england get croatia and russia. mmmmmmm, seems a bit off balance to me. two teams that are still in the running for the WC final, and have won the thing more recently than england seem to have a harder qualifying group.

I think we should nuke Scotland and Wales. It'd get rid of a lot of ABEs, and would mean us Ingerland Empire Worshippers have to pay far less taxes after we removed said drains on our economy. Nice nukes though, that leave nice countryside, animals and a few carefully placed b&bs
