80's

I was into acid house. Which was goth-like industrial hippy shit at the time, pretty brutal stuff. "Jesus Loves The Acid" and "Where's Your Child" are dark records, darker than the sixth form poetry of most goth stuff.
Most of my mates were goths though, or hippies, for the simple reason that they, and indeed we, had the best drugs. :)

i haven't got any blackcurrant to put in the cider, tho. so it's gonna be non-goth booze all the way, sorry Paulie. :o

course you did :D

what i did go first, but coz it was in the future and it went backwards in time i *actually* only went after you in the future tense? so you went first after all? but only from your point of view? yes, yes, that's right Paulie, i'm sure. i mean, 'back to the future' was an 80s film, so it all fits perfectly with the theme of this thread.

i can't keep up with you :D

do you want a cup of tea? now or in the future? suggggaaaarrrrrrr?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(that's my stressy voice )

actually i spose the ultravox vienna one was pretty uber-80s as well. i was well pleased with it coz it's got a viola solo

That's superb. :D

i bought the album when it came out. fuck knows what i did with it, coz i haven't heard it in over 20 years, but right now, after wine and cider, i really want to play it at skull-splittingly high volume. oh well. there's always tomorrow. but tomorrow i'm not going to want to play it at skull-splittingly high volume. or even whisperingly quiet volume. never mind.

that's the thing about 80s music - it's great when you're boozed up! there is something innately booze-friendly about it.
