I actually picked up the story elsewhere (via the excellent FeedDemon) but feel free to post up any hot, breaking tech news at your earliest convenience!

I could use a hand with that job!

Yeah yeah yeah! :p Cool, I doubt I do find anything that you probably haven't notice but I'm more than happy to post up cool stuff like this. :D Btw whats feeddemon?

It's a bells and whistles RSS program made by the bloke who did Homesite.
Not free though.

PS the laptop is looking more like vapourware - which makes you wonder what the CES Innovations 2005 Awards Honorees people were honouring!

Yeah I just found it and downloaded the thirty day trial. It's a bit over the top with an amazing array of features! Tbh even though it's only $28 i'm not sure I really need much more in an RSS reader than Thunderbird has to offer right now (this will probably change once my podcasting project gets moving though...).

I'm inclined to believe hoax - and that CES were duped. Otherwise, I feel I'd of seen more about this in the media...

(Vapourware, sic vaporware, is strictly speaking a term meant for software... I just used it earlier because I couldn't think of a better word)

I still suspect that it's not a hoax as such, but it may be 'thin-air ware' i.e a proposed technology that simply isn't ready yet/capable of actually being created.

Lots of ideas can happen in Theory, Gordon E. Moore law says every 18 months the number of transistors doubles, which has been accurate, so double the fastest laptop cpu which is about 2ghz , i know some use p4 chips, which are not really good for a laptop, they overheat.

Anyway lets stick with 2ghz as the fastest now, 18 months time it could possibly be 4ghz then 18 months after that 8ghz, the technology has to be desighned and proberly tested.
