Despite the fact that there have been no real jobs created amongst that figure of '2 million' new jobs, only part-time, exploitative temping jobs which for the most part shouldn't be legal or class as real occupations on official statistics.
To anyone who would like to stake the claim there are more jobs now than in the past... what new occupations are available now that weren't available under Thatcher?
Oh, well... supermarkets are employing more staff at the checkouts in their new hypermegamarkets... oh of course - we have plenty of construction work for those 'luxury apartments' being hoisted up everywhere, and lots of lovely call-centre work too...
