4 x 4 vs Sports Cars

Had as low as 18 MPG in the X flow (mind you it spat out petrol in the form of flames).
Just get one , running gear is v v cheap. Lots of readily available spares. They arent an every day car though, say hello to bimetalic corrosion if you run over winter. Residuals are very high- I sold both mine for the same price I paid for them.

my RS4 returns 40 MPG stuck on cruise control @ 70 MPH, more @ 60 MPH.

Thats not much to boast about- my little 998cc yaris gets 45mpg doing 75 on motorways. AND its far more efficient around town.

Maybe you should get one of them instead if you are really bothered about fuel consumption!

Modern cars, Inc SUVs have many more safety features than many older but smaller cars. My old CX3 would jam solid to a halt if it were moving very slowly towards an obstruction like a barrier. Our much smaller 500 does not even have parking sensors front or rear. I think I know which is safer from a pedestrians point of view.
