4 british soldiers die and its not on urban????

i must admit that when more soldiers or even civilians are killed in iraq i just switch off nowadays. i've started just skipping to the football section again cos there's never any good news

i could wheel out tired cliche #654 again that a load of north koreans starved to death yesterday etc and we don't post about that either etc......

the sad thing is if all the coalition troops pulled out tomorrow.
there would'nt be the last yankee helicopter leaving and a green flag of the resistance waved in the air peace declared and dancing i the street(well obviously no dancing )
just more of the same not sure it would get worse (yes it probably would get worse men with guns trying to grab power of course they could do worse):(

Names of the dead soldiers have been relieased -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6146844.stm

A Warrent Officer from the signals corp.

A staff sergeant from Military intelligence

And two marines.

Doesn't sound like a routine partrol to me and it may be whoever topped them was expecting them.

We'll probably never know the full facts though.

Have to say these deaths hit me quite hard .Always looked forward to boat
patrols well when it was warm, zooming around the shatt not bothering anyone
and we thought it was pretty safe .It is a pretty wide river and those boats go
quite fast .
As much as I grew to despise the marines who drove the boats .Well you try sitting in a cold drafty pillbox watching guys messing about in power boats
in oakleys and shorts topping up their tan:mad: :) .Felt sad when I heard about
this .Dont think we are going to have a polite conversation about their deaths.
