Would it be a bit much to ask for Charlton to at least be able to beat Scunthorpe.
Another win We're still in the relegation spots but we are moving in the right direction.
unbeaten in four, great draw yesterday, that i thought would be a certain loser when i bought the ticket. why the fuck did we ever get rid of ronnie moore in the first place?
To bring in John Barnes?
Big week for us, Orient at home on Tuesday followed by Huddersfield away on Saturday. COYR!
dont remind me
Another win , 4 games unbeaten , 11 goals scored , 4 conceded and 1 clean sheet. IF we keep up like this hopefully we should escape relegation
I am confused. We can't just have won again. That's 11 points from 15! We're staying up!
so are we, I didn't realise Wednesday equalised last night right at the end so went to bed thinking we were still in the relegation places. It was a nice surprise to see we've up the table this morning.
Nothing confusing at all, Ronnie Moore is back!
We could mathematically secure a play-off spot on Saturday is results go our way.
Make that 14 from 18, you've got Exeter at home next - bottom of the form league, a manager who's running out of ideas & falling out with the fans & 5 points from safety.
I'm guessing Barnes's problem as a manager was that he confused the players? Nice enough bloke, but he doesn't seem to make that much sense as a football pundit.
Sorry Termite but Paul Hayes is coming home!
don't matter we have a Beavon
I've just had a look at our run in. FUCK
I think we're the first team to secure a play-off spot!
Hello again, hope you're all keeping well.
Any of you lot make the journey up north for Charlton's game at our place yesterday? Credit to all players, on both sides, for doing their best to interrupt a superstar refereeing 'performance' with a game of football. Easily one of the worst referees i've ever seen. He wasn't the reason we lost (he was just as shite, if not worse, for you) but he totally ruined the game. Thought at the time that Hollands' was a straight red but not convinced after watching it again; the 12 yellow cards were all soft to downright ridiculous. And having ruined the game, he then insulted the fans by standing waiting for a police escort at half-time (which he quite rightly didn't get). No-one was going to attack you, you pathetic drama queen, and if you can't cope with booing you need to look for another job. The annoying thing is that both clubs will get fined for picking up so many cards, when it should be the referee getting punished for dishing out so many so needlessly. As i've said, that wasn't the reason we lost, you were far more dangerous going forward. 6 hours since we last scored. On the plus it was nice to see our fans giving Dale Stephens such a good reception, we haven't forgotten him twatting Ian Moore. Thanks for the memories, Dale.
Fucking glad we won't have to play you lot next season.
I didn't make it, too many northern trips this season and with Preston being the last one a weekend in Blackpool would've been rude to turn down!
Also going to Carlisle, we've won promotion there twice before in 81 & 86, god knows where we would be if we didn't secure top flight football during the exile. When the fixtures came out it seemed like lighting will hit for a third time but with the Sheffield clubs refusing to give up it appears the romantic occasion won't happen, which is disappointing but we can't complain after having such a great season. Brighton were promoted this time last season with a similar points total to us but with a 15 point gap!
I won't be missing the refs next season, so many times I've left the ground furious with the ref, and that's even after a win!
Here we are in '86.
Rochdale Exeter and Chesterfield can all be relegated today!
As of now Charlton are promoted if things stay the same*.
*assuming that 15 higher goal difference for Charlton won't be overturned in 3 games
and at the bottom Rochdale and Chesterfield will be going down if things stay the same.
A few minutes to go, Charlton promoted and Wycombe 1 point of safety.
and no relegations today either.
mathematically any team from 13th down could be relegated if Wycombe win all their remaining games (I fucking hope they do)
Carlisle 0 - 1 Charlton full time
Colchester 1 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday full time
bollocks last minute penalty FUCK FUCK FUCK
The Reds are going up, the Reds are going up!!
Since Charlton are promoted do you think they could let us win next saturday please !
although, i think we are going down, last 3 games
Notts county at home
Sheffield Wednesday away
Congratulations Charlton. Quite sweet seeing Chris Powell's interview after the game yesterday. bless 'im.
Yeah we did our best to chuck 3 points away. Morais' goal was our first in over 8 hours of football.
Did you see your keeper bitching about our 'fickle' fans on Twitter?
