Mr Spock, translation?ruffneck23 said:my advice , get yourself a second hand psp ( ie an older generation ) , get DEV-HOOK , downgrade your firmware , then emulate to higher firmware ( ie 3.03 ) , download your games and play for nothing![]()

wishface said:the DS is a toy designed to accomadate the lowest common denominator, as opposed to serious gamers. I have no interest in owning one or discussing it's merits. I'm sure its very exciting to play but after watching grown men play that godawful dogs game constantly my opinion is thus.
Why would i be more disappointed with a PSP? If you are going to make a statement like that you need to back it up otherwise whats the point? Thats why i'm asking this question!

Kid_Eternity said:The lack of quality games,, the lack of unique forms of gameplay, the lack of any ingenuity with the product, the lack of a decent wifi onling gaming experience, the shite battery life, the silly price of the machine, the lack of a gaming community surrounding the machine. Oh and the UMD system is just plain idiotic for a handheld; you see portable gaming works best when it's pick up and play, not pick up, wait five minutes for it to load, play then curse when the battery runs out...
The DS is a far superior gaming system (going by it's games).

jæd said:Dunno about anyone else but most PSP games seem fine once you get past the intro... Oh, and who would you wifi in the tube/on a plane...? I think someone is just posting up mis-information, though... (ie free psp with some phone contracts, etc)![]()

Kid_Eternity said:Free wifi in a coffee shop is cool if you ask me...![]()

jæd said:But the PSP has wifi already...?![]()
Kid_Eternity said:Er now you've lost me...

jæd said:You were saying you could use wifi on the DS in coffee shops. The PSP has wifi too, so I don't see you point...![]()
wishface said:I just wish the 360 had some decent games right now! Theres no way im keeping it just to play overpriced arcade games!
)Kid_Eternity said:You mentioned why you would need it on the bus and I commented that to show there are other places you can use it while out and about (also alluding to a better online set up by Nintendo as mentioned earlier).
wishface said:Is there no way to connect the psp to a larger screen/monitor or tv?

jæd said:Thats nice, but I've never really used the online part of the PSP. (Apart from downloading new courses/music/addoins for Wipeout). I really must play with the new Playstation online bit to download games but don't have the time at the mo...
Kid_Eternity said:With no centralised set up or decent games for it I'm not surprised.
How much is a second hand 360 worth these days?wishface said:video games all around nor any drop to drink.
I've had no luck selling my 360 at all, which actually surprises me (although its after christmas). I guess i could sell it for a lot less than i'd liek through the local CEX. Right now it's an expensive doorstop.
so you deny your neotenicity then ... intresting why aren't you preparred to wait til march only 2 months away for games to come out then...wishface said:keep the psyschoanalysis to yourself, along with your opinions on the game I enjoy. Neither are relevant. If you have nothing sensible to say then say nothing.
jæd said:Dunno about the lack of decent games, but then I think your definition of a "decent game" is very different from mine...
Kid_Eternity said:It is? What do you think my 'definition' of a decent game is?
