the left is zilch in this country ..we are all up shit creek without a paddle ..

balders gets people to think ( well those who can think ) about stuff .. e.g. the debate on immigration has changed fundamentally since it started on here last year (e.g. i suspect many people have changed their minds on the legitimacy of the NHS recruiting from countries that can ill afford to lose mdeics) .. you could argue that he puts off some /many people but equally he raises stuf that others fear or are incapable of realising are important

balders is to an extent reality leaking into urban .. most of urban would like to just carry on with their inane bullshit ..fiddling while london burns .. tb wants to provoke people to look at what is going down .. he is doing a good job

dub just never really says much that i've noticed accept to swear/slag off people and get into arguements ( and get slagged off by others) and drone on about semi famous people he knows :rolleyes: .. which as i said in 35k posts is some acheivment .. he claims to be some sort of @ but does nowt afaik ..i met him a couple of times and he seemed pleasant enough but on urban i think he is a bore .. i don't tbh care but for him to come onto politics where his input is minimal and tell someone else to fck off seems perverse

Remember what I said on the Cesar Chavez thread about people seing certain names and switching off? That's what a lot of people on P & P do with his threads. They know exactly what argument he's going to present, the same one that got rebutted 3 months/ 6 months/ a year ago that he's just dug up rotting from where it got buried.

I'm not going to defend him (because he can do that well enough himself) except to say that your opinion is pretty biased, but then again, as I said earlier, it would be, wouldn't it? After all, he criticised your mate.

i do not disagree with the idea that people switch off .. sad but yes same stuff does get boring .. however you are dramatically wrong that his arguments about e.g. poaching nurses have been rebutted .. very little he has said on immigration has actually been really knocked down .. it has only been oppossed but sw waffle ..

re dub i am actually not being personal .. dub told TB to essentially piss off from the politics boards .. but dub says nowt on PnP .. so i prefer a poster like TB who is challenging .. something dub is not ..

I have plenty positive to say, just not about your boyfriend and his "hang 'em high" politics.

You might be getting confused by the animatronics, where you use electronics to move the puppet rather than a hand up the arse, or the automaton reference, which is like an animatronic puppet, but is normally preprogramed rather than direct real time control.
