I was well pissed off when i heard Pickering gushing about this on the radio. Who exactly makes these decisions anyway? It's not just crazy nationalists like myself who are going to find this offensive, and makes the WRU look even more of out of touch than usual. Peter Black raises a few good point on his blog about it being part of a larger plan to smooth things over form in investiture of Willy.
