on the radio in the office 'we' are listening to Texas, performing live. According to wikipedia, they formed in 1986.

Yup - I remember seeing them playing in the shove-in slot at the Student Union back then. They didn't even get a proper stage - instead they were in a corner of the "bar" that folk mostly went into to get a cheap poke of chips or some other fried food.
