28 Days Later was good.. 28 Weeks Later will be better

you sure? i thought it was John Murphy aping the Godspeed sound rather than being by Godspeed themselves...
I dunno, throughout the film, there was one piece that kept getting repeated all the way through, that sounded like East Hastings from the first film

Fucking ace film.

The opening was one of the most exciting I've seen in a long time - the theme music really builds the tension and growing sense of menace. Got me well excited just ten minutes in.

It obviously had more money spent on it than the original - thought the scenes where they bombed the inner district was superb (much more awesome than most Hollywood blockbusters). Liked the first (even if it did go a bit off) but this was better.

The daughter was gorgeous too.

:o

She is 'legal' - I just checked

Saw it last week having ignored all reviews, trailers, anyone else that might slip out plot to me, and yet still I already knew that one partner infects the other... but it was a great zombie flick imo.
I liked the rough edges and camera movement - agreed, if you'd just eaten a burger (or such) you might lose it more to that, than frightning horror. It is to me, a bit like american werewolf in london, where london is shown as the perfect (read:american) tourist destination - look, you can get from Canary Wharf to Regents park in a little under four mins! (or actually get into the zoo in AWWIL) but as has been pointed out in previous posts this is really but a drop in the ocean of suspending disbelief for most of the ermm, plot to this and the last film. That said, the amount of well known actors from both sides of the atlantic that agreed to work on this film and the amount of (mostly american) money spent on it really showed.
The music, which seemed almost an entity of its own in this movie, and may seem familiar as used in the first film too, can be found here: Its called 'in the house in a heartbeat' http://www.emimusicpub.com/worldwide/artist_profile/john-murphy_profile.html
(unfortunately i'm a bit crap at the techno bits and can't seem to go straight to the music ... but you also then get to find out he worked on 'miami vice' amonst other projects with danny boyle, so thats nice too :D)

I'm amazed how many people whine about the "inaccurate geography" stuff. WTF do you want? A 55-minute tracking shot of Regents Park to fucking Wembley just to satisfy your puritanical streak? It's a zombie movie FFS, suspend a little disbelief wouldja....? Please?

They're not zombies they are THE INFECTED!!!!!!!!

Watched it the other night. Wasn't bad if it was a TV movie but it was a bit shit at the same time. The Wembley thing really stuck out and so did a few other things, but it is just a cack horror movie at the end of the day so it is forgiven.

I don't like the way it felt like Resident Evil though

Like the first one it was really good up until about half way then it gets all too much, so they throw in some soldiers, a bit of emotion and spoil an otherwise good film.

Oi, Americans? KISS! KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID.

Would have worked far better as a shameless b movie rather than trying to take its self seriously.

6.5/10

Like anything can go from infection to displaying symptoms in 30seconds...

Saw this last night and thought it was ace.

The scene in the underground had me shitting myself, though I think that was as much to do with the fact that it reminded me of the burnt-out, old nuclear bunker I used to knock about in with my friends.

Forgot to say, given the love-in re: The Wire, I'm sure a few folks spotted Idris Elba.

Apropos of which, I spotted Avon Barksdale the other day for about three seconds in As Good as it Gets, standing by the door of the diner which Nicholson frequents.
