24 Season 7

The first one was shit after 12 0 clock and season two lost my interest after about 3 eps. Couldn't risk wasting any more of my time on it after that.

It's stupid and formulaic, but I love it. Did anyone see the 2 hour special with Robert Carlyle, set in Africa?

Yeah, I thought it was really good. Many people I know don't agree. But I found the series to get a bit tedious - this was just a bit more refreshing considering it was a story told in just two hours, rather than a whole day's story stretched *literally* over 24 hours.

Tonight I watched the film with Mrs RD first. She really enjoyed it. Then I put the first episode of the new series on and she found it dull

Then again, her English isn't quite fluent, and she finds stuff like that hard to follow. The film was all actionny and much easier for her to get into...

Eps 3&4 last night (no interweb til Friday, so no torrent action :(), starting to amp up nicely. First two eps were a bit 'meh'-ish, but nice reveal in these eps, and some proper Jack Action too :D

Really pleased that Jack's back and
Tony's not a bad guy (well, he has a bit of edge, but that just makes him more kool)
but it seems so formulaic and predictable! I watched the double bill last night and guessed like every twist or whatever was going to happen :(.

I want to be surprised, Jack! Give me some suspense!

It'll come, and

Lets face it, has Tony really come good guy? Is White Haired Bill really working up the corruption angle? Will Jack remain on the side of right?

...anyway...

Yeah, 24's got it's mojo back for sure - more reliance on actual espionage-y type stuff, less emphasis on technology...

24 has been fucking GREAT this series, absolutely loving it and I'm so glad they've pulled it back from the abyss. I'm upto episode 13 in this and 11,12 and 13 are fantastic episodes. I was literally on the edge of my seat.

Jack was getting a bit emotional in the latest one - but he soon came back to reality - oof!

Another class episode.
Great fight at the end - and quality tactics by jack to take out that tosser.

Yeah was talking about 14.

Can't seem to make spoilers work.

If you're talking about E14 then use spoiler code pls...

If not, are you talking about

The bit where Bill dies, or jack chasing after Quinn? I loved what the Big Bad said - 'Quinn? He's good. So's Bauer'. GREAT line

I got overexcited and watched the ones online, now I have to wait like 3 weeks to watch on tv again :( Fucking great series though, one or two episiodes have been really gripping like the old days.

Yeah, but series 6 was so toilet that I couldn't see a way back for it. I was committed to sticking with it but expected a swift decline from here on in so it's been a pleasant surprise.

Series 7 of Curb is gonna be very unusual with him married into the Blacks. I can't believe he won't be with Cheryl, it all unsettles me on a very deep level, possibly due to my supressed racist tendencies.

You're black and your last name is Black? That's like if my name was Larry Jew.

The whole Blacks scenario was hilarious after the slightly poorer series 5.

"How can you be called the Blacks? It's like me being called Larry Jew"

:D x 500
