This is shocking. Let's hope the low life scumbags get caught and banged up asap.
Blimey - there was I thinking the worst thing about that stretch was the nearness of the traffic.
Wow... that's a busy bit of road. Horrible.
Shit. What bastards. I always think that when two people are involved it's so much worse.
OMG, how horrible.
Feel very shocked by that.
Awful. Poor woman.
So horrible. Hope the woman will be ok
Fucking hell. Hope the bastards are caught.
Do people think it's worth just deleting all the off topic stuff in this thread because I'm really uncomfortable seeing all this insensitive crap on a thread about a woman being seriously assaulted, ffs.
I do, they weren't helpful contributions but distracted from the actual crime. Rape is a horrific and traumatic experience and discussions which foreground the quality of reportage rather than the actual rape detract from any meaningful consideration and reflection on just what has happened to a woman walking past a park.
Yep, delete away, sorry for
Does anybody know if they have they found anybody yet? It scares me to death to hear this stuff. My wife runs around that area at quiet times.
A bunch of us who use the lido gym regularly were talking about this the other day, along with a dog walker. We couldn't understand why there was no yellow incident board up on Dulwich Rd. If the poor woman was dragged into the park by the lido before ten o'clock at night, there must have been a ton of drinkers outside the Prince Regent who might have seen something. The longer they leave it, the less likely somebody's memory will be jogged.
Apparently there was another rape in the park not so long ago - but at the top I think near Cressingham Gardens. I never heard anything about that one.
41 is middle-aged? Fuck
Plenty of camera's round there. Plus DNA evidence. They'll have these fuckers in no time!
There was an appeal for info on the Met Police page....seems to have been taken down?
Maybe they've made an arrest?
Let's hope so. This thread is truly depressing reading (a) for the horror of the crime (b) for the insensitive fuckwits who come here to score cheap points.
Yes, I noticed that too.
Note: I've now deleted the unpleasant and insensitive material that was posted up (and that meant getting rid of the replies too - sorry!).
One month later, how many arrests have now been made?
Have any further details of the perpetrators emerged?
Have their community leaders come forward to assist? Or is a wall of silence hampering this investigation?
The rapists' community leaders? Eh? Who might they be?
AFAIK it got one small mention in the SLP and that was it. Nothing else.
That's the point OU - mirroring the calls from some quarters for these community leaders to speak for, say pakistani immigrant communities when a paedo ring is uncovered.
Has there been anything more on this?
