2015/2016 season: Dulwich Hamlet pre-season friendlies for July announced

Actually I think there are one or two that might do...but I can live with that.
But I don't really care if people think I'm passionate or not...I just support my team...one of many, & will continue to support them until I die, or the Club dies...whichever comes first! ;)
why all this picking on mishi !

Point of order, as I'd say at a union meeting, if the 'rank & file' aren't allowed to speak! ;)

As the chair I would invoke Citrine's A. B. C. of Chairmanship - The chair is never wrong and you never notified us of the issue before the meeting brother, so its not on the agenda ;)

Generally it's down to Gavin to sort out. Or him to agree to...for example I had to approach him to ask him if the Altona game was ok...if he said 'no' to any match it's not the done thing to impose a game on his pre-season plans. As these games are for him preparing for the new season.

I don't know if he did approach Crystal Palace or not...but we are a 'very minor player' in football terms...and we simply might not fit into their schedule. It's not a guarantee to play any local professional club.

It's extremely fortunate when we play any professional side, never mind a Premiership one, and never mind on a 'regular' basis.

Thanks for clarifying. Dulwich v Palace lasted three seasons, I think. As a Dulwich and Palace fan it was the match I most looked forward to in a season, and certainly the one I got most pissed at, which is why I was disappointed it isn't happening this year.

Probably for the best. 2k Dulwich plus 2k Palace does not equal Champion Hill.

If this was a Saturday, there''d possibly be 2-300 visiting fans for this but I'll be pleased if there's much more than a hundred or so making the trip on a tube-strike weekday. Furthermore, many Posh fans are rather underwhelmed by the appointment of Dave Robertson. I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt (but I'd be rather happier if we had your management team).

I do hope Hamlet fans turn out in force - that's always a big part of the entertainment for me and a spectacle with educational merit for the relatively prosaic common-or-garden Posh fan. Although Posh will obviously be a bit fitter, the copious substitutions will minimise the impact of this and Hamlet have a decent handful of players who are capable of acquitting themselves very well or even making a name for themselves.

I reckon this could be a very pleasant evening's football and, of course, I also hope that the returning magician gets a fitting reception. I know that he's very much looking forward to playing at 'home' again :)

I wonder if Adrian Durham is coming along?

Anything's possible but he's not particularly well-liked by Posh fans in general.

I doubt any would stick up for him if you chucked a few undisguised assertions his way for example.

As a Chelsea fan he pisses me off no end but I do realize he has a job to do and that's get people ringing in, it's where his employers make their money, but any Chelsea fan with half a brain doesn't take the bait.* Nevertheless he IS a football fan and I would happily have a chat over a pint.

* Before any of you smart arses post Chelsea fans don't have even half a brain just listen to Talksport and take note of how few do actually ring in compared to Liverpool and Tottenham who just don't get it.

Last season we got around 400 against Dagenham & Redbridge, who hardly brought ant fans for a midweek pre-season. Our gates have grown since then, & we have the 'Erhun factor' of course.
I think the crowd will be between 700 to a thousand.

just added an Facebook event for the Peterborough game
ignore the fact that it says PRIVATE EVENT but if you wish i am sure one of my dulwich hamlet Facebook gang will send you an invite
or just send me a Facebook friend request

Ahhh the bane of the celebrity supporter who's annoying as fuck.

I see your Adrian Durham, and raise you Piers Morgan
Have you seen that tv commercial for the National Lottery featuring Piers Morgan? I already found him as irritating as the commercial makes him out to be.
