He was good in 2007/08 but he was shite 2008/2009, all headless running about and no end product and he couldn't accept his role as a squad player, Owen will do so and is more likely to nick a goal.

Again, no dount you've slagged the fuck out of Owen somewhere on this site. You're such a typical manc scum.![]()

According to the blurt -
Tevez was World class a couple of months ago, now he's shit.
I can garauntee that you have at least once in your time on this site defended Teves saying how good a player he is, no doubt about it.![]()

Giggs can still do a job used sparingly as he was last year, Nani will be expected to step up, Anderson can only improve, Fletcher has come on a lot, Neville hasn't been a regular right back for nearly two seasons now, fingers crossed Hargreaves is back before christmas and Valencia coming in allows Rooney more freedom.
As for replacing Tevez, well a jack russel could have done his job last season.

yep, in March of 2008, last season however he was largely shit.
Out of your midfield players coming in I rate Carrick, Hargreaves and Park. The others aren't consistent enough, that's where Man Utd have found strength in recent years. Nani and Anderson have quality but I can't see them developing into a Ronaldo or a Scholes. Valencia is decent but not world class. Owen and Rooney partnership didn't work that well for England. Rooney will probably score more up front with Berbatov.
He is a meathead, but with some pace and could make a pass. His postional play is pretty good too and without Ronaldo I'd have wanted him rifling free kicks into the net from 30 yards. Hardly the headless chicken you're making him out to be.![]()

Owen will be played as a squad player or start against weaker teams in games United will more than likely dominate, the rest of the time it will likely be Berbatov and Rooney and with Ronaldoaway that gives them alot more freedom, not to mention service from a more typical winger.
Playing every week he might score a few, given that you don't lose world class in a season.
But Ronaldo's pace will be missed. I always thought United have been most dangerous this past few seasons on the break, good one touch football passing to Ronaldo who could then use his pace to get into a dangerous position in which he would go it alone or pass a ball through to Rooney who's always a threat. I don't know much about this Valencia kiddo but he's no Ronaldo that's for sure.
