12th April, Serious Business 2nd Birthday with Jerome Hill, Louise+1 and more ...

Also thanks to everyone who got there early enough for my 'debut', I don't think I'm going to take up djing, but it was fun to try it once :)

Magneze's, DJ Tab's and Louise's sets were all most excellent, after that I spent the rest of the night mostly downstairs, apologies to anyone who got talked to death by me.

Thanks muchly, I thought you did bloody well to Dj off two cd walkmans, and have time to dance as well!

:p:)

playlist

here it is, as a couple of people asked for names of tracks:

Otto - Bob
Clara Nunes - Morena de Angola
Seu Jorge - Carolina
Barbatuques - Num deu pra credita
Candeia - Saudacao a toco preto
Marcelinho da Lua & Seu Jorge - Cotidiano (Buzzino remix)
Ney de Castro - Ba-tu-ca-da
os ritmistas brasileiros - samba no2 andamento 133
Mestre Marcal - A incrivel bateria
Felix, Gil vs. Infrared - Capoeira

All the sets were most excellent - and it was brilliant to start off the night with Something Different ;) and have a good boogie to some samba and breaks.

Who needs acid techno at 10pm? - but, at 5am, gergl's set certainly hit the spot, Wowser!, followed by more Magneze techno and Gizelle's surprise guest star appearance. :D

I had an awesome night! Lovely to finally meet properly DJ Tab and Missus (bring on Italy, woo!), and to have a toast with El Jefe to being madly in love (in love not with each other, but our respective partners, I hasten to add). And lovely, of course, to see all the usual wrong'uns.

Big thanks thanks to everyone who halped with music, door, balloons, equipment and other bits and pieces. xx

Ah, at least I remember ONE conversation now. :D

The rest is a blur - apologies to anyone I annoyed, ignored, stared at or drooled on :)

Absolutely, huge thanks to everyone who helped out in any way.

jesus fuck, toilet attendants at the Redstar?!

Yeh - new owners, tarted up a bit (but not much, to be honest). Not a great rig any more (but then not much is going to match Unsound :( ).

Still good, was pretty busy, younger and slightly less fucked crowd than of old. Toilet attendant in the gents was a really nice bloke, and found out he purely got tips - no wages. :(
