10th October Protest - no bail out for the bankers

200-300 people I reckon, mostly students though not all SWP, pretty lively too. I enjoyed it, although the dogs did make me a bit nervous.

Yes, they are allowing reports up after the march, but they pulled adverts for the march.

To be honest, Indymedia is getting pretty wacky with censorship. For example, I (not a believer) posted up an advert for a meeting with a Catholic Priest visiting Britain associated with the Liberation Theology movement, the guy had taken part in the Sandinista uprising in Nicaragua and had some pretty interesting experiences to talk about.

But Indymedia removed the post.

Apparently because the Catholic Church is a hierarchical organisation.

This is true, but numerous religious people have been involved in social struggles, and are we really so narrow minded in our movement?

Also many Liberation Theologians have ended up in conflict with the leadership of the Church.

Hahahaha. Oh god the left just does it to itself. This is why the Libertarian groups had second thoughts about coming, which is a shame as it's just starting to develop its own fledgling protest culture and we're seeing the beginnings of militant groups.

No, they didn't.

This is pretty fucking stupid, if true, though.
