Considering hip hop has been the biggest selling genre for 10 years at least, I'd say stavros has a point.

Well, I was only kidding really - but has it been the biggest selling genre for 10 years in the UK???

i have 38 of those.

crap list tho

blue lines above mezzanine?

i think not

Blue Lines always does well in these things, which is odd because - safe from harm and unfinished sympathy aside - it's easily the worst of the 3 massive attack albums.

Anyway, I own:
# U2 - The Joshua Tree
On old copied tape somewhere

# NIRVANA - Nevermind
Bought on tape and later on CD

# MICHAEL JACKSON - Thriller
Bought on tape when I was about 11.

# GUNS N' ROSES - Appetite For Destruction
Bought the tape.

# R.E.M. - Automatic for the People
Bought the tape.

# THE STONE ROSES - The Stone Roses
Have a copied version.

# MICHAEL JACKSON - Off the Wall
Used to have a copied version

# JOY DIVISION - Closer
Bought the CD

# THE SPECIALS - Specials
Have copy, is one of those albums I have been meaning to buy since forever.

# THE PRODIGY - The Fat of the Land
Bought CD

# PIXIES - Doolittle
Bought CD

# AIR - Moon Safari
Have copy.

# MASSIVE ATTACK - Blue Lines
Bought CD

# STEVIE WONDER - Songs in the Key of Life
Bought CD

# PRIMAL SCREAM - Screamadelica
Bought CD

# PUBLIC ENEMY - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
Bought CD

If you want me to dispose of them safely, I suppose you should send me them all.

I thought Country was the biggest selling genre?

Just completed some research on the web and Hip-Hop has jumped Country as the biggest selling genre.

I don't really get this, but if it's aimed at me then my response is-

If I think something is shite, then I'll say it's shite.
It just happens to follow your post, why would it be aimed at you?

Yes, except they've made 4 albums

I don't count that last one as it wasn't really a proper Massive ATtack album...
Funny, it says Massive Attack on my copy - and it was better than Blue Lines too (and Mezzanine, for that matter).

18.

I cannot believe that is a serious top 100. dido? alanis? oasis? coldplay?

and why is fat of the land on there and jilted generation not?

utter rubbish.

21 i reckon that is. How the fuck did that shoody shoody streets album make it anywhere near a top 100 and outkast. Speaker box was wank. Stankonia fair eno0ugh but that one was shite.

Only 42.

Probably partly due to the fact that I've always felt compelled to less universally celebrated/media-prescribed sounds...

Probably partly due to the fact that so many are so ubiquitous I've never felt the need...

Probably partly due to the amount of hackneyed bolox on there. Dido, anyone...? :(

I've got a Dido album & I used to quite like it! :o

<edit> Fuck me, no I haven't!!!!!! I'm thinking of Beth Orton!!

As you were!
