# THE BEACH BOYS - Pet Sounds

# THE PRODIGY - The Fat of the Land

# MOBY - Play

# BECK - Odelay

# DE LA SOUL - 3 Feet High and Rising

# PUBLIC ENEMY - It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back

So a grand total of 9.

That Prodigy album is shite though.

Its a bit of fun! no need to big up your street cred by claiming art is crap, it says more about you than it does about the list :) heheheheheh

No-one is going to judge you as they don't know why you have what you have, because people own a record doesn't mean they like it

Claude Debussy (1862-1918)
“A work of art or an effort to create beauty was always regarded by some people as a personal attack.”

How right he was :)

Dido? Buckley?

The people who voted that list should be shot repeatedly.

Then shot again, just to make sure.

:p

I don't really get this, but if it's aimed at me then my response is-

If I think something is shite, then I'll say it's shite.

I've got 18 of the Top 100.

Reading the website, it would appear that "industry experts" created a shortlist of 125 albums which were actually voted on. So it's a bit crap frankly, Top 100 Albums out of a list of 125, hmm......

I was not quite surprised that Gong's Radio Gnome Invisible and the Flying Teapot vol 1 was not in the list.

Personally I'd have gone for Camembert Electrique myself . . .

That renders the whole thing pointless:)

What a fucking relief, only 23 of the bastards. What a shower of shite on the whole. Air??? The fucking Police???!!!! Dire fucking bastard Straits

100 Greatest Album (*the stupid selection*) with apols to all those who've got loads of em.

I own current 19 of those albums... I have at some point or another owned another 11 of 'em.

Is that 48? I might have lost count.

25 I think, plus one which I used to own but have since got rid of (Nirvana for those interested).

Have you noticed how white-centric these lists always seem to be? Perhaps intrinsic of the demographic make-up of the electorate. Especially weird how little hip hop there is; I count only Eminem, who is white, and Public Enemy who have always been the Q-reader's choice. Where the fuck are NWA, Nas, Dre, Snoop, Missy and any of the assorted Wu-related albums, most noteably "Enter...."? Very little dance either (Basement Jaxx, Chemicals, Daft Punk, Aphex, Underworld?

If I must pick a surprising white guitar absentee, I'll nominate Weezer's "Pinkerton".

I guess Channel 4 viewers aren't bad ass gangstas like hip hop fans are.

Or kids from Tunbridge Wells who wear their baseball caps sideways...

Considering hip hop has been the biggest selling genre for 10 years at least, I'd say stavros has a point.
