04/11/2006 tekno party decisions!

Me and my gang made it to Sythetic Circus. The first venue got busted but they sorted something else out impressively quickly. The organisers seemed like a really cool bunch of people, going by the jokes and friendly attitudes on the gate. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere inside, there was no London-Squat-Dodginess on show, just people up for a good time. Having said that, we all left by 6am cos we're lightweights, so we didn't see the Ket-fuelled aftermath (the aftermath in our car was more than enough)...

Excellent music as well - anyone know who was spinning the drum and bass at about 4-5am? Amazing stuff.

I wouldn't have heard of this without U75, and a certain PM I got, so thanks... On that note, does anyone know when the next big night's going to be??? (PMs welcomed!)

gutted to have missed this, headfuk rule, i'm sure the music was amazing, been working aaaaallllllll w/e :(

Got far too mashed before and during Gogol Bordello and also the Albert after (top ska session there!), to make it even to the Redstar...I'll be there after the Urban R and R night next Friday (10th) tho. (Pama International! )

Glad to read that the SC worked it out :)

But zenie, what went wrong? :(

I ended up at the Ministry of Sound, of all places (first time for everything!) dancing to a superb 5 hour set by Francois Kevorkian and Derrick May.

Are you referring to the guy who fell into that Thames backwater, prompting emergency services to attend - or did something else happen??

I wasn't there but some mates were.

I heard that someone fell in the river, but they were rescued...

... oops, just seen pk's post...

He's not too bad considering, could have been a lot worse, believe he has a punctured lung, good job the fire brigade go there quick as the tide came in quick and he could well have drowned.

Squatjuice reports suggest he broke his arm too...

Nasty.

yeah we asked a policeman and thats what he told us too.

aside from that it really was an an excellent party. full props to the organisers for putting in a lot of effort to make it an entertaining night.

everyone in the world went to the coronet

or so it seemed

Yep. Top venue, top people, top atmosphere. Music no better than average unfortunately.

Ignore my earlier comments although some bad stuff happened the morning was for the most part excellent.

Especially loved the live show that was amazing :D

Some top music nice to bump into some people from Italy too

Left pretty early (age + usual Friday excess got to me) so missed the party ending unpleasantness. It was a great party with good tunes despite the change of venue and age of the venue :)

Tired Badger today though :(

  • No trouble/muggings in sight! :)
  • Managed to run into an insane number of people who i hadn't seen for ages! :D
  • A very welcome change to most of the parties i've been lately being techno only parties!
  • Convenient slabs of mirror to do lines off of as well! ;)
  • Shame to hear about the chap falling in the river/i left earlier :(

i thought the age of venue was good, bit of character. plus lots of offices to explore, although someone had properly trashed them - previous to the party.

new buildings are boring and cause more ructions when they inevitably get a bit damaged.

with you on the tired :D

Ooops!!

i've heard this guy has been released from hospital.
i've also heard he has a history of leaving parties in ambulances

if its gedge then yeah he's an absolute fuck up, really nice bloke but does far far too many drugs...
... which to me is more than a bit selfish if everyone else is expected to pick up the pieces.

But I guess it takes all sorts though, eh?
