    Its really expensive

Last time I went a really agressive guy stole my water bottle, I dont like theives who lay the whole socialism trip on you.

I dont really like anyone on the Bill, Maybe the Verve, but they are ashcrofts MOR cash cow now, give me Gravity Grave anyday.

    Kate Moss goes there......

The facillities are pretty shit from my own memory

Younger crowd? There was a software fault on the ticket regestration last year so half of Vodafone employees went from what I heard.

boohoo, Eavis said he wanted more young people 'cos unlike me he wants the festival to develop rather than attract the same increasingly comfortable and middle class audience year in year out. so I'm not going to go, thus allowing the kids more of a chance to get tickets and then whinge like fuck about it to anybody who will listen

meanwhile everyone who does go will have an ace time

    1 Didn't pre-register. Didn't even know when you had to pre-register.
2 Went last year, can't be arsed with going this year to be honest.
3 I'm local to Glasto (for the time being) so getting there really isn't that big a deal, could probably pop home every evening if I wanted to.
4 My Sister, who is the Glasto Head didn't want to go because of the line up.

I've been quite a few times and like my memories of it back then and would rather spend my money exploring some different festies!

I can't afford it this year with time or money but I love Glasto and had it been feasible for me this year I would be there. Despite that I'm also OK about not going.

    Not a particularly fabulous line-up + a (currently) 10 month old son.

It is not really my cup of tea either. I am not a fan of roughing it.

Never been, no desire to go, and if I had a spare £145 I'd rather spend it on going on holiday somewhere I can use a loo without having to hold my breath.
My festival days are firmly behind me, always managed to get sunstroke, not pleasant.

I went to Glasto for the first time last year. This year I'm going to Latitude and Solfest but bugger going back to Glasto after Eavis' comment about just wanting young people there. The line-up doesn't particularly appeal either and from what I saw there last year the land simply doesn't provide enough space or facilities for the number of tickets sold.

I went for the last time in 2000

Since the new fence going up keeping out a significant proportion of interesting people, I reckon can have more anarchic festi chaos fun at the Cambridge Folk Festival .

why is everyone going on about the line up? they havent released it yet! theyve just announced a few headliners, and a handful of bands have confirmed themselves, including massive attack, jimmy cliff, leonard cohen, alabama 3, the levellers, british sea power, and hundreds more yet to be anounced...im being pretty optimistic.

Too expensive for me - not just the tickets to pay for, but the car hire and a dog sitter as well - you're looking at over £500 before we've even got there!

    1. The weather isn't guaranteed
    2. The cost compared to other festies
    3. The pre-registration, photo-id malarkey
    4. Its all on the BBC anyway
    5. The vibe has changed a lot recently, it's more boring and commercial now
    6. Getting in and out is always a mission, whether by car, bus or train
    7. I'm bound to hate most of the bands playing now compared to the nineties
    8. I'd rather go on holiday
    9. Zane Lowe will probably be there
    10. There's so many other better festivals now

I don't think there's much point going if I can't stay in the VIP enclosures like I'm used to...

    Jimmy Cliff owned glasto 2003

I'm not too fussed about the lineup, in fact if there's not many bands I'm desperate to see then that leaves me more free to mill about and see what looks interesting. I'm not going because I'm too skint and because I really can't be bothered with a 'hippy' festival with more security than the Berlin wall

As you know, we decided before last year's that we wouldn't be going this year, and we intended to enjoy last year to the max, but actually we didn't really enjoy it much at all. Going had become a habit, and it's nice to break it for a while.
