anyone going? just been informed that i'd agreed to go months ago, and had a ticket brought for me and everything, so an unscheduled london visit seems to be on the cards... :)

really? i've never heard 'em, but if they live up to everything you've been saying over the last few months, then they should be awesome. :)

Got my ticket for Friday , shame I couldn't get hold of one for the all-nighter.

Going with an open mind as the last time I saw them they seemed a bit flat but the latest album is a good'un.

Never heard of CLOR , got a link for them? I tried Google but got some website for the Central Laboratory for Radiological Protection.

Saturday is the all-nighter , don't know who's DJ'ing - The Prodigy website gives little away - Just hope the support act were as good as Eboman :)

oh dear. now i've done it...a band whose tunes no one knows playing before an expectant crowd via a whats-bound-t0-be-shit-academy-sound?

aon secopnd thoughts, they'll do the job

I'll be there saturday night, looking forward to it, last time I saw them was at Glasto a few years ago. I've seen them once before on an alnighter at Brixton, wow what a night! Someone mentioned to me last weekend that Keith aint with them anymore, is this right? and is this old news?

he wasn't on the labum but in the press release it said that he and maxim would return for the live shows; haven't heard anything either way since

you could be right. but it's a birthday present from a good friend who i haven't seen in a while, so who am i to turn it down?

twisted

KISS are great live but that prodigy album is kinda what you would expect from a geek and a laptop

YES i will be there on the saturday... I thought it finishes at 3?
that's not an allnighter you lightweights :p
First time going to see them, I hope it's not their last tour but I wouldn't be surprised given how long it took to produce the last album..
..maybe Liam is running out of ideas
...time enough for a Munt afterwards i reckon...
..no one fancies swapping their 2 downstairs tickets for 2 upstairs do they??
(got to try innit ;) )

well if anyones interested......... The support bands were okish, but the Prodigy were awesome, as usual. Leeroy djing straight after the prodge was a complete downer to be honest, and most people left just after he started about 1ish.

General atmosphere was great, all luvved up ravey like! However, how many times have events sold out at Brixton Academy?? Queing for a beer took half hour, queing for the loos took nearly as long, gents and ladies. And so the inevitible happened, people got annoyed at the bar staff and people started pissing in places other than the loos, not good, bad management.

i thought the sound mix was a bit fucked tbh - far too bass heavy, you could hardly hear anything else of the songs. still a good laugh though.

leeroy djing was absolute shite.

I thought they rocked it, Smack my Bitch up being the highlight, absolutely EVERYONE jumping around..
..I didn't know it was Leeroy djing, would have stayed longer had I known, maybe a few others would have as well
the other DJ was good though, mixing it up and bouncing around..
..wasn't too sure about one of the bands though, proper indie with a girl singer, a bit out of place in that line up i thought..
..anyone go on Friday??how was it?

sound was horrible for CLOR the guitar was set at Volume 1

i pissed off after they played; didn't like the atmosphere in there - seemed to be some bad tempers flying around which was probably to do with lack of beer and long queues at the bogs

Agree with the awful sound - a regular problem with the Academy.. Thought the Prodigy were OK, but only 2 tunes from Jilted.. and nothing from Experience!

Fucking revisionists..

:)
