i've been asked to produce a pretty simple website that will be editable using macromedia contribute.
i've got hold of version 2 and played a little bit, but i think it's flippin' awful!
does anyone have any good things to say about it? any hints or tips?
is it virtually essential to use it in conjunction with dreamweaver templates? it certainly can't handle a bit of handcoded html with a couple of plain vanilla divs in it. trying to create a new page by copying one produced in such a fashion means that it sticks the new text in some pretty unlikely places.
i've still got dreamweaver 3, weaned myself off it a few years ago - i'm stuffed if i have to fork out for mx. don't really want to turn the job down, either!
afaik, the client is not familiar with contribute either - he seems to like handing over lots of money for proprietary software before knowing what he's going to use it for. now that he owns it, he wants to use it. ah well.
