Wotcher I want to save the flash movie from this site
http://www.masterandcommanderthefarsideoftheworld.com/NON-USA/site_flash.html

so I can use it for some lessons and what-have-you, offline. My usual methods of getting the URL of the .swf file have failed.

I want it as usually film websites lose their flash content after a certain amount of time and I don't want this peach to go. I never got the Knight's Tale one about jousting tournaments as Sony took it down, the bums

Please help.

Cheers for that! One little problem now is that the writing on the movie is a bit small, but that's great, hugh ta!

Google for streambox.exe - saves all sorts of streaming stuff - got to get it knock-off though as Real Media shut it down i think - still a pice of piss to get hold off.

edit: redundant advice this time!

ern, are you sure you've got the whole film? Normally there's a placeholder swf file which other, remote swf files are loaded into as needed/requested.

Looking at the full film on the website, I'd be surprised if you've got everything in the 204kb MasterComEnglish.swf file.

Just a thought...

This little thing is not one flash movie, actually a lot small bits together. For complete Flash or other things I'm using curl a PHP extension or TCP straight away.

You will need to download the initial movie, looking at the source code which parts connecting back again to the server, download them, changing maybe all the link references, what is when it is protected?

Why you can't have Internet at the lesson?

The only thing I can think of get a screen cam (Lotus for example) start recording all movements and show the final movie which is stored on the HD or CD.

I don't trust Fox not to pull the plug on the site. Besides the school internet is sometimes dodgy. It should be okay for next week though. Cheers for trying,;)

Conspiracy? Got fooled again. At least is archived now in a kind of sense. This piece is so boring, can't get it really. Looked at it three times and still ...

Sorry haven't seen the original myself, but don't think that I haven't missed anything. What the shit is on about?
