I've just uploaded a new 60-page project based on Brixton shop signs and street graffiti.

There's one or two design tweaks to be sorted, but the photos are all up - see what you think! (http://www.urban75.org/brixton/photos/brix001.html)

(please PM me if you spot any typos etc)

These are fab. Really like this kind of stuff and the added links make the photos work so much more. No doubt I'll spend a couple of hours looking in more detail tomorrow. For me, this is one of the ways the web works so much better than a book. That said, the project would make a great book also.

Bloody hell Brixton's a messy place ;) Don't know Brixton but enjoyed those pictures, social history in the making. Inspired me to do something round my parts if only I had a camera...

Inspired me to do something round my parts if only I had a camera...Oy! Less of the excuses! Sort yourself and get snapping - you won't regret it!

Poverty :(

edited to add: No you're right, enough dallying. I shall find myself that camera, return to all those spots where I've said to myself "that'd make a great picture" and then sit back and admire close ups of my thumb, blurred pictures of my feet, curious black blobs and the like.

I Love these. You get everywhere dont you Editor!
I'm sure I wont be the first to say this but, really I'd love to se an edited selection of these in an exhibition situation. They really tell a story, and IMO they'd look even better when viewed off-line, so's you could juxtapose them and such.
Perhaps you could print some and hang them in the Ritzy for the offline night or something.
They're really good.

Lots of really great shots there. The one that particularly made me go "wow" is the Brixton station one with the scaffolding above it, picture 24.

I have a few sign pictures from New Orleans that I'm proud of:

Hoping to do a series on signs around Kings Cross and Islington....

Those are ace!

I loved the rusty sign, the brixton recreation centre sign (and the orange behind it), and the estate agents one is great

keep up the good work
