Yeah, that was on the news last night. You'd have thought the Thames would be closer

I'm not sure where the house mentioned is on Loughborough Road, but it could easily be round the corner from Loughborough Junction, rather than actually in Brixton. I think for the Evening (sub) Standard anywhere in SW2, SW9, Herne Hill, Clapham North, Stockwell or Streatham Hill counts as "Brixton".
A takeaway near Fiveways isn't it?

The east Brixton netherlands... not quite Brixton, not quite Camberwell, definately not quite stockwell.
A takeaway near Fiveways isn't it?
Any idea which takeaway?
I think there are four but I have not heard of any of them being a murder scene.
Was it reported in the SLP?

If there's crime, drugs, prostitution or any other social ill involved then as far as the Standard goes so is Beachy Head!

That's not funny - we're talking about murder here. Someone's son, someone's brother. :(

According to a two page spread in Friday's SLP (http://icsouthlondon.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0400lambeth/tm_objectid=14069523&method=full&siteid=50100&headline=piecing-together-the-horrific-clues-name_page.html) , the victim was Orville Donovan Gordon, "a 39-year-old Jamaican thought to have been living in the Brixton or South London area." The cafe to which the murder has been linked by a DNA match on bloodstains was the Hellshire Chat Bout on Loughborough Road.
Despite all the progress that has been made there is still a need for people living in South London to come forward and help the police put Mr Gordon's killers behind bars.
Anyone with information should call Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999 and quote Operation Dundee or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
I often think that people who look here for info on local stuff should buy the SLP. :)
