Rome - Accomodation

Hey,

Thought that this trip was all sorted but got an email saying that the apartment we'd booked is now being renovated!arrrrgghhh

I booked through are Holiday Velvet (they had the best reviews of the ones i found) and they have been good and will be givig my deposit back. They offered other apartments but they are not what we need....so now i need to find either another apartment or hotel.

I looked at loads of hotels before hand and they had some dodgy reviews, so it's timefor some good old u75 help...any recommendations would be much appreciated?

I went to Rome last year and got quite a cheap deal at this place http://www.massimiparkhotel.it/. It is nearer Vatican City than the centre of Rome - but there are excellent public transport links and you can buy a weekly bus ticket to get you about for about 11€. :)
