There are these compilations (called sublime frequencies, iirc), and they are basically compilations of bits of music off the radio from countires like Burma, Palestine, or North Korea, the kind of stuff you would never hear otherwise.

The North Korea one has some proper proper proper bonkers music on it. The kind that breaks your ears when you listen to it.

I saw this (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=b0VyM6B_v4o) Sublime Frequencies documentary at the cinema a couple of years ago.

It's about an annual three day ghost festival held in Northern Thailand, with lots of amazing masks, bacchanalia, and some great music. (-The music really kicks in @ 40 seconds into that clip.)

Funny you should say that, because I was listening to their new album, Matachin (I think that's it?), the other day, and I liked it. I'd like to see Bellowhead live - seen Spiers and Boden on their own a couple of times and they're great, so it'd be interesting to see the whole band in action. :)
