I think most of the people I like and regularly speak to on Urban hang out on this thread, or t'other -
A safe, healthy, happy, prosperous etc 2009 to you all.
You can email me at jonnyhell at googlemail dot com if you ever feel the need
Urban burns my time, and with the business up against it, the band, a wedding and an ailing dad, I don't have a lot of time these days.
You're all still beautiful. :D
See ya around.
ps the band is called The Tantrums. We'll be gigging soon (famous last words)

I'm on a mission to punish my housemates for waking me up with some indecently loud and indecently shit music this morning (one of those dull-arse indie bands that are breeding like rabbits atm, the automatic or some such toss) so I'm drawing attention to the feebleness of their stereo compared to mine with some full-volume My Bloody Valentine, before which it was the Boredoms and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
Any recommendations for other music to make the tasteless fuckers pray for deafness would be much appreciated :)

soulsavers soundsystem & dj format - kings of rock
wicked lil' mix of 60s/70s psyche/funk rock
Actually, if you like that, you'll probably like <ahem> RockTits DJ's Present: Heavy Cosmic Groove from a while back.
No link to hand, sorry. It's out there somewhere though, and it's a cracker.

I love these kind of psych-rock mixes.
So far I've managed to cobble together about two-thirds of the band identities on this one, but still missing a few!...
On the one hand I was a little annoyed to see no band names on the track-listing but on the other I respect their desire to keep their crate digging "secrets" :D

Although nobody wants to get anyone sued etc, the sad obsessives (:hmm::o) will always find out eventually though...
-It's like a fucking curse... :o:D
A compilation CD I did years ago with Dr Dre, Eminem, Snoop and all that lot on it. Some of it still shocks me, tbh. :D

Oh! I've been quite partial to some of his 12"s - is this album mixed?
Its unmixed. Some of the tunes on it aren't quite my thing but there are a few belters on it namely 'We Run Shit' and 'Straight Ruckus'.
Definately a worthwhile purchase :)

not a bad cd - although, as with most mixes of the 'big beat' era, hardly any of it is actually big beat...
i have the freestylers one somewhere, which is ace. :)
