Ha ha!

Cracked it :)

"What you need is someone to guide you through the Spanish art world" he said.

"Sounds like a good plan" said I.

Someone is actually going to pay me to sketch and paint around Granada until my heart's content and then put on an exhibition in a respected gallery...

"And, we'll take it from there" he said.

Best of all, he's more than keen to take a look at my personal work - representations of 'real' dream sequences that are totally mad. Seriously thought no-one was ever going to be interested in those.

I'm moving up a division :)

Thanks for all congrats. Looks like it's going to be a very  summer.

Initially he's paying on a sketch/painting by sketch/painting basis. He's getting them at a very good price. The exhibition will be smothered with little red dots from the moment it opens ;)

He's got the market, so he'll take his cut. He seems pretty confident that I will earn a good living. Haven't talked seriously about the figures yet, but he seems fair and reasonable. I'm guessing around 30% plus a blow job every Friday.

For him or for you? :D

heh

More like 50% without sexual favours... My uncle is represented by a Mayfair gallery, who sell his work for 5 figure sums, but take 50%... still it keeps him in tailored suits, and obscure modernist jazz records...

Both?

Shouldn't be joking so flippantly really - never know who's reading :hmm:

Different market to London. 30% seems to be the norm here. More reasonably priced paintings with more frequent sales.

I'll see what happens. Could all flop at the first exhibition.

In the meantime, todays job is sign-writing for a new vegetarian tapas bar being opened by a nice woman from Scotland here. I suspect that will be a beer and a tenner at best. Still, makes a change and it should be fun.
