The weather wasn't great, but we shook off some of the festive lard and lingering hangover with a short (4.3m) walk around town yesterday.

Here's some of the pics:

The photos were taken on my shiny new Nikon D300 - a real beaut of a camera! :)

Great photos - particularly at bringing out the Autumn colours.

Interesting to see the last two photos of the bus garage. I was there a while back waiting for a bus when the public address system boomed out : "It is illegal to take photographs of this station".

I wonder if they were 'having a laugh' - or if there is some security measure in operation.

I've heard of similar things happening to trainspotters on 'security grounds'......

The austere concrete exterior of the South Bank building. It's not pretty, is it?

Yes it is!

Thank you, Editor. That is the daily trip me and vauxhallboy take to get to his school.
It looks bloody lovely and makes me go a bit misty eyed.
I love London, I do.

having a laugh I think, I may be wrong but I am quite sure that you are allowed to take photos of anyone or anything so long as its in a public place. So assuming it is a public bus garage, it should be fine.

After all how do you think the papers get most of their shots?

In the airport of what was Zaire at the time there were notices saying

'anyone taking photographs will be shot'
