Well i have no idea what im doing with myself, but i know i dont want to stay here.
Me and my friend were thinking about hitching round the uk, maybe going wwoofing or visiting social centres. or both. So has anyone got any susgestions or good places to go?

Walk the The Ridgeway (http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/ridgeway/index.asp)
Never done the whole thing, but every day walk we've had up there has been fantastic, always lots of intresting and unusual things to see. Start in Luton and walk to Avebury.

Wrong time of year unless you have some good quality gear to protect against the cold and sudden weather changes. Also I am not sure that hitching is a good idea.

try tinkers bubble for wwoofing if you like laurel bashing in the rain and cooking on an open fire

being asked to do useless jobs that wear you out that make you very wet!
seriously, tinkers bubble is a place to go visit - they are generally welcoming to visitors - they'll pick you up from south pertherton coach stop or yeovil train station and if you are willing to muck in / cook / work in the gardens and swap a bit of banter in the evenings you can have a fine old time there for a short or longer stay. they've got a guest house now that#s fairly cosy even through the winter

well, hopefully we'll be going in a few months but i want to at least have abit of a plan.
Ive done abit of wwoofing before, hmm i like the idea i just think the people we stayed with were hard to understand and it made the whole thing abit awarkd.
Dose anyone know anything about staying at social centers? Do you think we'd have to ask, or if its causal?

Here's some social centres but you'd have to ask each of them and they might not be up for it unless they feel you're contributing something:

But if you're into the idea of Woofing, and don't mind mucking in and doing a bit of work running/keeping social centres open, you might well find a welcome and somewhere to kip in social centres.
