anyone been to these?
only been to the bar so far, is really really nicely done out with some nice flat-screen tv's for sport etc, cocktails in happy hour were proper tasty aswell
just can't help thinking it is in the wrong location though for somewhere a bit more upmarket than 'white horse'...is all nice having a nice place but u need people there to create a atmosphere.
if this was in central brix it would be great...brix could do with a semi-swank nice bar imo...(tho thinking about it Hive bar kinda is)

Is this the old camping shop/Rex cinema?
There were lots of people outside at about 2am Sunday morning. Looked pretty busy. :)

Hurrah - that was the barber's that I was wittering on about on the Chitter Chatter thread! I couldn't remember where I'd seen it, thinking that it must have been in the centre somewhere, but I reckon it's that one - spotted when I went to the Doctors (and Cafe on the Hill) last week.
It's more of a non-afro barbers isn't it, with a depressed looking male stylist sitting in an empty shop behing those StudioLine style model posters on the time I went past.

Really, I got the impression it was a black barbers
How many's that on the Hill now? How many more do we need?

Damn it. You live near it; you should know.
I'm sure that was the one that I spotted the other day. There aren't that many barbers in town are there, particularly of the non cornrow and plait variety.

Well I never really go past it except on a bus. Returning from work I get off the bus at Raleigh Gardens and cross the road so I don't really notice it. I use Mace/Nisa nowadays so am never on that particular stretch of road
I'll try to keep my eyes open though and see exactly what it is :D

There's a barber's at the top of the Hill and one in NPR of the non cornrow and plait variety

Your status as Chitter Chatter Queen of the Hill is in jeopardy. Open you eyes.
Actually for the first time in ages that stretch of B'hill is in full use. Let's not forget the new offie opened on the corner!

Why are you rolling your eyes at me?
I don't use barbers so I don't take much notice of them.
That offie's been there for months :p

Well hopefully, or it could be the smoking thing where there are crowds puffing away outside but once you pay to go in there's one bloke in the corner doing the chicken dance...

Ooh! I think I saw him last night when I was walking home. He was standing next to the window, glaring at the rain and the traffic. He looks scary! :)

It's not an afro hair place though is it, more a unisex place for caucasian types at first glance? Is that your recollection of the place?
Not sure if scary was the word I'd have used. He looked more bored if I'm honest.

No I think it's trying to cater for a caucasian market - the place I saw was on the same side as the R23, near one of the fried chicken places?
He's probably a nice enough chap but sort of gave me a fright.
I was walking along in the torrential downpour having decided the buses would all be too crowded. I had my head down to minimise the rain/head impact area (wasn't working) and to look out for puddles. Then I noticed the bloke, standing about a foot away from the floor to ceiling window and staring out at the cars & rain.
It toook me by surprise, and at that moment he looked a bit scary. :)

Well he probably thought you were some low-life, up-to-no-good, suspicious-looking hoodie ;)

Possibly, but I don't remember meeting him. Maybe he's really perceptive?
