Recommend me a push bike route from Brixton to the West End please.
You happy with main roads, or do you want a quiet backstreet route?
And which particular bit of west end?
Personally, I'd go up Brixton Road, fork off left at Kennington Park, go over Westminster Bridge, Up whitehall and then you're at traflager sq. and can pick your destination from there.
Alternatively, if you want the covent garden end of things, you can go round the back of waterloo station and over waterloo bridge.

Oxford Circus.Ok with main roads but whereas Id go via Hyde park corner/Parklane on my m/bike, it looks a bit hairy when relying on pedal power.
park lane is a nightmare. Only particularly hairy bit on the westminster route is parliament sq - I'd get off and walk over to the N side of whitehall rather than go round the square (you can't turn right off the end of the bridge) - then whitehall is really wide. The roundabout outside waterloo is signalled, so that's not too bad.
An alternative, would be to do Vauxhall bridge (turn left at oval) and go along the embankment to westminster.
Whichever bridge you choose, you're going to have to negotiate a large junction at one or the other side.

K thanks for that- Thinking about it, over Westminster bridge, down the side of the park (back of Downing St) onto the Mall then up by the Ritz towards Green Park looks my best bet
The TFL journey planner (http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en) does cycle routes (you need to untick everything else and tick cycling). Not sure how good it is - the one time I put something in the result was a bit round the houses.
tfl prefers to take you on backstreets and quiet roads. It will also route you along canal paths wherever it can, which is annoying.

Does anyone know a good route from Brixton to White City?

My usual is Brixton to - Vauxhall via
Brixton Cycles, (buy bits and bobs)
Stockwell (staring at the new clean Swan pub)
Little Portugal (Custard Tarts)
Round the back of Vauxhall Cross (on the cycle path via the line of clubs)
River front ride (beside M15 to gauge the current security threat - whether there are guards outside, how many guns they're currently carrying etc.)
Ride along the river (Cormorant / seal / whale spotting etc.)
and then chose a bridge depending on where in the W/End you need to be
Depends on your West End. If you want Marble Arch, there is a great route down Silverthorne Road, across Chelsea Bridge, right by Chelsea barracks, and left right left right through to Lowndes Square, and then across Hyde Park on the cycle path, ending up at Speakers Corner, or a cycle route that crosses the top of Park Lane from Speakers corner and takes you towards Grosvenor Square, and if you want Oxford Street then you can turn left to get to Selfridges.
If you want the Tott Ct Rd end of Oxford Street take Waterloo Bridge, straight on up the cycle route through Bow Street and over the roundabout and then left, and right on Neal Street, come out then end, turn right and then left and then join the traffic up St Giles High Street to Centre Point.
