There's a pic in today's Daily Mail of the Teofani factory, taken in 1916, the women working hard to send the cigarettes to the soldiers on the front line.
Where was this factory situated?

Teofani apparently made the following brands as well
Broadway Novelties
Favourite (Magnums)
Hudavend
Palace
Pharoah's Dream
Three Star
West End

Could the cigarette factory have been part of the newly construted Brixton Estates development off Camberwell New Road - I'm fairly sure that the lower bit of that has "factory roofs".

I've never heard of the photographer Bedford Lemere before, but there are some fascinating shots of Brixton and London after the first world war by him now available on that site - the Engish Heritage/National Monuments Record photo library through Viewfinder .

Round where Currys now is used to be an abandoned factory of some sort. Went in there one night and took photos, I think.

.... Leaves thread to ferret through drawers.
